The Organic Farmer Researcher Network will offer a series of Do-It-Yourself On-Farm Research Workshops this fall and winter. These workshops gather farmers, researchers, and educators who are interested or experienced in on-farm organic research. Facilitated discussion on current needs and resources and small group work is intended to generate working groups and specific research ideas. Together, we hope to develop individual research questions and help attendees gather the partnerships, ideas, and resources to address these questions.
There is no cost to attend these events and meals will be provided, thanks to grants from the USDA OREI (Organic Research Education Initiative) and Foundation for Food & Agriculture Research. Through these grants we can also offer a limited number of stipends to defray travel costs. The Organic Farmer Researcher Network is a collaboration of Ohio organic and regenerative farmers, Central State University Extension, The Ohio Ecological Food and Farm Association, and Ohio State’s OFFER program.
