We are pleased to announce that Brian Gwin has agreed to coordinate and lead the CFAES efforts that are focused on organic agriculture systems, the Organic Food and Farming Education and Research (OFFER) Program. Brian currently works on special projects for the Director of the Ohio Agricultural Experiment Station and has previously served as a program and portfolio manager as well as stakeholder manager for the Agroecosystem Management Program. He has a wealth of experience in economic development connected with agriculture, and he frequently helps out on his family farm. Brian is taking over the reins from Doug Doohan who most recently served as Director of OFFER.
Kathy Bielek and Cassandra Brown will continue in their supporting roles for OFFER. Kathy has been a program assistant with OFFER for many years, providing vital administrative oversight, and managing the program budget, and organic certification for Ohio State's certified organic research land. She performs similar duties for Ohio State's Agroecosystem Management Program. Cassandra (Cassy) Brown is newer to the program, beginning in 2018. She focuses on outreach and website maintenance for OFFER and works with other CFAES research and outreach teams in the Department of Horticulture and Crop Science and the School of Environment and Natural Resources.
