OSU Extension highlights on-farm research results in their digital agriculture publications including eFields for agronomic crops, eBarns for livestock and forage, and ePLUS for produce, landscape, urban, and specialty crops. This year’s eFields report included 8 projects conducted on certified organic farms, each report displaying the USDA National Organic Program's certification seal. Thank you to the farmers and county educators who collaborated on these projects and to Eric Richer for helping make those connections happen. The first ePLUS report also included a research project report on an organic onion breeding project which had connections to the Ohio Organic Farmer Researcher Network.
If you are interested in hosting or helping plan organic research on your farm in 2025, please contact us. We would love to see even more organic projects in next year’s report and will work hard to team you up with an extension educator or researcher who is open to working with you and your production system.
Interested in designing or hosting an eFields trial on your farm? Contact Eric Richer or Cassy Brown to connect with an Ohio State researcher or educator in your area.
